ARROWTOWN GOLF CLUB
MINUTES OF THE EXECUTIVE MEETING AS HELD AT THE CLUBROOMS
ON MONDAY 27TH APRIL 2009 AT 7.30PM

Vicky opened the meeting at 7.35pm
MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING:
o Vicky opened the meeting and moved that the minutes that were circulated should be adopted by the committee as a true and correct account of the previous meeting

MATTERS ARISING
o John Lapsley email re Name Change. To be discussed and talked about with John at a future meeting of his convenience.
o New tables outside pro shop have arrived and look good.
o Rick to set up a meeting with Derek Bell to discuss the Trees on the 7th in response to his letter last month.

FINANCE
o John presented the March accounts to the committee and it showed that total income and gross profit was over budget by $10k. Bar, Main reason was due to shop sales made during the month which in which totaled $14,500.
o NZ Open week totaled $18,000 which was down by about $8K on last open
o Annual Golf levies were paid and amounted to $12,200.
o John presented the outwards cash and showed that the bank balance is at a healthy level of $38, 000.
o Vicky Motioned that the Accounts shown were Accurate and true and moved that they be passed for payment

COURSE:
Rick congratulated his boys on a busy summer and wanted it to be noted that they have only been a 3 man crew for the bulk of this year with the earlier than expected departure of Allan.
Bill Weir motioned that the committee show their appreciation by giving/shouting the boys $100 for their hard work.

Course Budget and expenditure. It was decided that Rick, Dardy, John and Gabrielle need to make a time to sit down and workout where and when expenses are needed on the course.
HOUSE:
Tables out in front of the Pro Shop arrived and look great
The smaller plastic information Display holders look far better than the A4 size.
Boards will be going up soon in clubhouse and Club Champ names to go on Boards.
MATCH:
Men
There was a full field for the Arrowtown Autumn Cup on Sunday 19th which was won by Annette & Bill Churstain. But it was noted that pre-payment should be taken well in advance to assist in a smoother running of these Tournaments
Srixon Pairs was held on Saturday 25th. 24 pairs entered with 3 pairs going through to the regional final.
Sunday was the U23 Otago Age Group Championship. Brad Nicholson came in 2nd.
Ladies
Kristin apologizes for not getting anything into the newsletter as she didn’t meet the deadline
!
In the Ladies Pennants Arrowtown came 4th out of 4!
Shani Arona doing well in both the QT Pennants and Arrowtown
It was thought that all Club Champ finals should be held on a Saturday in the future so the members can support and be there for the presentation.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
Rick noted that we should maybe look at printing a Match/Stroke index on our cards as Jacks Point do. John to look at this with John Waretini
Website is now Live and Glen will show John how to alter and administer.
Glen will also look at why Arrowtown doesn’t come up on Jacks Point Web.
John is to update the NZ Golf website each month with events.
Rick asked if there is a budget for him to attend the Australian Turf Conference later on in the year. John/Dardy/Rick/Gabrielle to assess it in the revision of the Education Budget
